Sixth Sunday of Easter - Reflection

“Love each other in the same way I have loved you.” It’s a double reminder for us. We are first loved by Jesus in the ultimate act of sacrifice, the love of Calvary. From within that love, we too are called to follow this example of radical love in our own life.

Fifth Sunday of Easter - Reflection

It’s not the fun part but in those times that I have chosen to cling to God or as the Scripture says “abide” in Him that I have seen out those periods and God usually tends to exceed my expectations and show me something I could never have imagined.

Fourth Sunday of Easter - Reflection

Jesus says “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep”. When the wolves come and I’m stuck in the crack, He is my shield and defends me by letting the wolves attack Him, standing in my shortcomings. That is the love that Jesus gives; a self-sacrificial love without prerequisite.

Third Sunday of Easter - Reflection

Jesus never leaves us in that place. He demonstrated for us on the cross by showing them his wounds, and then commissioned them as Apostles of the church! They are witness to all of the things He has done, and so are we.

Divine Mercy Sunday - Reflection

"Jesus doesn't leave us in fear or disbelief, He makes a point to remove the doubt within Thomas by appearing so that he may believe. Jesus comes to Thomas that He may cast out his fears. Thomas was shown so that today, we may believe."

Easter Sunday - Reflection

“There’s nothing to see here.” Actually, there really is. The miracle of this gospel account is that each person making their way to the tomb finds nothing at all – no body of Jesus, no angels, not even a note, but only some empty, discarded cloths.

Holy Saturday - Reflection

The most important night of the Church’s year begins with the great celebration of Light as we light the new Easter Candle, process into the dark church, lighting our own candle, listening to the Exultet, and my favourite part, letting the many readings soak into my soul.

Good Friday - Reflection

In Coptic Orthodox tradition, the day after Good Friday is the funeral. They fast the whole day, contemplating the tomb of Christ and it ends with mournful feasting. They feast because Jesus died for us and that’s awesome, but they are sad because well. He died.
