If you are a user of this amazing tool we need to let you know about some challenges we are currently facing and invite you to be part of the solution. Last Wednesday, we started noticing issues with the backend we use to insert the readings and content into the app and found ourselves unable to log in. By Friday, the Fuel app was no longer receiving data from our backend meaning anyone trying to use the daily readings was left with a blank screen. Bummer!
What went wrong?
In a way, this has been coming for a while. When we first released the app, it was only a matter of months before our overseas app developer went bankrupt leaving us with no ability to create updates. We tried to follow them up without success. Note to self.
Since 2017, we continued to use the existing system without the ability to update features, fix bugs (like accessing the Book of Revelation) or insert new features we dreamed of adding. It seems that time finally caught up with us.
We are committed to correcting this situation ASAP, but the solution requires a thorough overhaul – a complete reset. That’s why today we removed the ability to download the app from the Apple App Store. If you have it installed on your phone you can continue using the Bible section of the app, but all other features are unavailable. As frustrating as this is for us all, we have a plan to turn this story around!

From the beginning, we wanted to improve the Fuel’s features to keep it contemporary and cutting edge, plus extend it onto Android platform to reach an even wider audience. That’s why we have just entered negotiations with a reliable, professional app developer to recreate Fuel 2.0 and turn this technical collapse into a victory. We refuse to let this be the end!
